Appearance and use of amfetamines

 

Amfetamine can be a white or off-pink powder or crystal, whereas its base is more of a putty texture. Methamfetamine tends to come in tablets, powder or as crystals.

 

Amfetamine powder can be snorted, swallowed or used rectally, whereas its hydrochloride salt can be dissolved in water and then injected, taken orally or heated and inhaled.

 

Methamfetamine can be used IV or smoked

 

MDMA is usually taken orally as a tablet.
